All wedding events will take place at The Abbey Resort. For those wishing to stay closest to the action, we have curated a special room rate at the link below. We encourage you to book your flights and rooms early to secure the best rate.

Room block rates available 9/18, 9/19 &amp; 9/20, with no nightly minimum required. Block includes king rooms (sleeps 2), queen rooms (sleeps 4), and suites (sleeps 6). If you would like to reserve a suite, you will need to call the Abbey directly (don't forget to use the group code for the discount). Please note that the deadline to reserve rooms within the room block is August 6th, 2025. Enjoy a tour of Lake Geneva through 1 or 2-hour cruises! Cruises depart from downtown Lake Geneva, around a 10-minute drive from The Abbey.

Explore the lake and its historic estates through the 26-mile lake shore path! The path is accessible at any point along the lake, with markers present throughout the path. The terrain can be quite rocky, so please plan accordingly. Fun Fact: Unique to Lake Geneva, the 20 feet of shoreline leading to the lake must be reserved for the public, and property owners are responsible for maintaining the path through their properties. In fact, Kristin walked the entire path in 2023 in just over 7 hours!

Experience Lake Geneva through a ziplining tour or high rope excursion! Location is close to downtown Lake Geneva, around a 10-minute drive from The Abbey.

Enjoy a tour of New Glarus (Spotted Cow) Brewery - one of our favorite attractions! Hard hat tours are held once every Friday from 1-4 PM, with only 20 spots available each week. The brewery is around a 1 hour and 15 minute drive from The Abbey but is definitely a must-see if you have time!

Just a five minute drive from The Abbey and open daily, be sure to check out Pearce’s Farm Stand for a wide assortment of fresh fruit, veggies, canned goods, and florals.

What is the dress code?

For the welcome reception, feel free to wear dressy casual attire (think sundresses, polo & khakis, etc.).  For the wedding, we ask that you wear formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress, dressy separates or a suit and tie. Please avoid wearing white.

Can I bring a Plus One?

Due to venue capacity, we can only accommodate those specifically listed on the invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Are Children Invited?

Unfortunately, we are only able to accommodate the children in the wedding party at our reception due to venue capacity. However, the hotel offers babysitting services for your convenience. Please reach out for additional information.

Can you provide more information regarding the room block at The Abbey?

Our room block at The Abbey Resort includes deluxe king and queen rooms, both of which can accommodate up to four individuals. For the king and queen rooms, both pool and harbor view rooms are available within the room block. Additionally, the block includes two suites within the property, which both sleep 6 individuals. Rooms can be reserved through the following: 1. Calling The Abbey Resort directly (262.275.9000) and providing the group code (11Y43K). 2. Using the link provided within the “Travel” tab. 3. Within theabbeyresort.com, navigating to “Book Now” and, within “Special Codes or Rates”, selecting “Group Code” and inputting the designated code (11Y43K). For The Abbey Resort, the standard two-night minimum is waived if booking within the room block. The room block is available through August 6th, 2025, at which point any unreserved rooms within the block are released to the public.

Is there parking at the venue?

For guests who chose to drive, complimentary parking is available at the venue. As weekends can be quite busy, please allow ample time to park.

Is the venue pet friendly?

The Abbey Resort does not permit pets. Guests seeking pet-friendly lodging are encouraged to explore alternative options in the surrounding area. Websites like Airbnb and VRBO offer a variety of vacation rentals that may accommodate needs. Early booking is suggested to ensure the best availability.

Will the ceremony be taking place indoors or outdoors?

Weather permitting, the ceremony, as well as the cocktail hour, will take place outdoors.&nbsp;In case of inclement weather, both events will be moved indoors.

Are you having an unplugged ceremony?

We're asking that you kindly refrain from taking photos during our ceremony. Our professional photographer will capture the moments, and we'd love for you to be fully present with us.

How can I let you know about my dietary requirements?

Please specify all dietary restrictions within the RSVP card. The Abbey Resort will work to accommodate any and all restrictions for the reception meal.
